Pollock is a musical project born from the encounter between Marco Testoni and Nicola Alesini. The evocative and visionary aspects of their own personal approaches to music brought them together in an unprecedented artistic collaboration, and this has now been enriched by the magic of wind instruments and the physicality of percussion, combined in a captivating and enthralling way. These two musicians are artistically non-aligned, but they are united by the same need for complete artistic autonomy, free from any classifications and genres, which has led them to collaborate with artists travelling, like them upon unusual musical paths (such as David Sylvian, Billy Cobham and Roger Eno). Always navigating without fear or formalism, in the atmospheres of world music and jazz improvisation with hints of ambient, minimalism and art-rock to create a marvellous magically evocative mix, with the Pollock project Testoni & Alesini have now enhanced their musical palette with some intense new Surrealist colours. Completing the trio is Max Di Loreto a very versatile musician who adds an infinite range of timbres and tones to the performances of the trio with his extensive set of percussions.
